Hey there Sizzix Crafters! Michelle here with an Under the Sea Popcorn Box using the latest Beach themed dies by Sharyn Sowell!
Party treat boxes are one of my favorite items to create when planning a themed party and popcorn is always a hit with our guests. So with that in mind I'm sharing an easy way to spruce up store bought popcorn boxes for a Mermaid, Under the Sea or Beach party!
For this project you will need the Sizzix Big Shot, Precision Base Plate, Magnetic Platform, Cutting Pads, Multipurpose Platform, Waves embossing folder, Seaweed, Coral & Wave Thinlits set, Seashells & Starfish Bigz die, a plain popcorn box, card stock, black ink pad, raffia, cello bag and popcorn.
To emboss the popcorn box, line up the popcorn box with the embossing folder and sandwich the folder between two Cutting Pads and pass it through the Big Shot using the Multipurpose Platform on tab 1.
Next, die cut the wave, coral and seaweed using the Precision Base Plate. The sandwich for using the Precision Base Plate is the Magnetic Platform, Precision Base Plate, card stock, Thinlits then a Cutting Pad on top.
Once you have cut all three shapes, rub the ink pad on the edges for dimension.
Next, placing the Seashell & Starfish Bigz die between two Cutting Pads, die cut the seashell for a tag and the starfish for the front of the box. Distress both shapes with the ink pad.
Layer and adhere the seaweed, wave, coral and starfish on the front of the popcorn box.
Now just fill a cello bag with popcorn and add the seashell tag with raffia. Now you have a custom popcorn box for your next Mermaid, Under the Sea or Beach themed party!
