Notes:

- All seam allowances are 1/4" unless noted.
- WOF = width of fabric
Piecing the Flying Geese Blocks:
- Sew a 4 1/2" Half-Square Triangle of S28 Arctic White to each side of a 4" x 8" Triangle as shown above. Press. Repeat until you have 48 large flying geese units. See Diagram 1.
- Sew a 2 1/2" Half-Square Triangle of S28 Arctic White to each side of a 2" x 4" Triangle as shown above. Press. Repeat until you have 96 large flying geese units. See Diagram 1.
- Sew pairs of the same size flying geese together as shown above. Press. Continue until all the geese are sewn together in pairs. You will have 48 pairs of small flying geese and 24 pairs of large flying geese.
- See Diagram 2 and assemble the blocks. There will be twelve 8 1/2" blocks with the small flying geese and six 16 1/2" blocks with the large flying geese.
- Using the quilt photo as a reference, sew two small flying geese blocks with two 6 1/2" squares to make a 16 1/2" block. Repeat until you have made six of these blocks.
Assembling the Top:
- Using the quilt photo as a guide and arrange the blocks into four rows of three blocks.
- Sew each row together and then sew the rows together to make the quilt center.
- Sew the 1 1/2" strips of T50 Tango together, end to end, to form one long strip. Cut this into two 1 1/2" x 64 1/2" and two 1 1/2" x 50 1/2" pieces.
- Sew the 1 1/2" x 64 1/2" pieces to the long sides of the quilt. Press.
- Sew the 1 1/2" x 50 1/2" pieces to the top and bottom of the quilt. Press.
- Sew the 3 1/2" strips of TM27 Yellow together, end to end, to form one long strip. Cut this into two 3 1/2" x 66 1/2" and two 3 1/2" x 56 1/2" pieces.
- Sew the 3 1/2" x 66 1/2" pieces to the long sides of the quilt. Press.
- Sew the 3 1/2" x 56 1/2" pieces to the top and bottom of the quilt. Press.
Finishing:
- Sew the two 1 3/4 yd pieces together along the selvedge edge to make the backing.
- Layer the backing, batting and quilt top. Quilt by hand or machine, as desired.
- Sew the binding strips together to form one long strip. Fold the binding in half, lengthwise, with wrong sides together and press.
- Sew the raw edges of the binding to the edges of the right side of the quilt. Turn the folded edge of the binding to the back side of the quilt and stitch in place by hand, mitering the corners.
