Festive Feathering Wall Hanging

Fabric Requirements:

Notes:

• Finished Size: 21 3/4" x 21 3/4"
• All seam allowances are 1/4" unless noted.
• Fat 1/4 = approximately 18" x 21"
• * = Adhere fusible adhesive to back of fabric before die-cutting the shapes.

Assembling the Project:

1. Arrange the Teardrops in a circular fashion, placing the smaller shape in the center, and the larger shape on the outside. When satisfied with placement, heat fuse in place using an iron and stitch around the shapes as desired.
2. Fold a red 1 1/2" x 17" border in half lengthwise, wrong rides together and press. Place the wrong sides of a 3" x 17" black border and background together, sandwiching the red border in between and pin all the pieces together. Sew along the raw edge. Press. Repeat to sew the other side border to the background.
3. Repeat step 2 to sew the top and bottom borders to the background.

Finishing:

1. Layer the backing, batting and wall hanging top. Quilt by hand or machine, as desired.
2. Sew binding strips together to form one long strip. Fold wrong sides together, lengthwise, and press.
3. With a 1/4" seam, sew the raw edges of the binding to the edges of the right side of the wall hanging. Turn the folded edge of the binding to the back side of the wall hanging and stitch in place by hand, mitering the corners.
