Numbers Baby Block

Fabric Requirements:

Notes:

• Finished Size: 3" x 3" x 3"
• All seam allowances are 1/4" unless noted. Start and stop sewing 1/4" from the edge of each Square.
• * = Adhere fusible adhesive to back of fabric before die-cutting the shapes.

Piecing the Project:

1. Center a Number over a 3 1/2" Square. Be sure to choose different color fabrics for the Number and Square for contrast. Heat fuse Numbers in place with an iron and stitch around as desired.
2. Sew block 6 to block 2. Sew block 2 to block 5 in a row. See Diagram 1.
3. To the bottom of block 5, sew block 3.
4. Sew block 4 upside-down onto block 3.
5. Sew block 1 upside-down to block 4. See Diagram 2.
6. Sew block 3 to block 2.
7. Sew block 6 to block 3.
8. Sew block 6 to block 4.
9. Sew block 1 to block 6.
10. Sew block 1 to block 2.

Finishing:

1. Sew block 5 to 1, but leave a hole large enough to turn right-side-out. Sew 3/4" from each corner from the inside of the square, sewing towards the outside of the block.
2. Turn right-side-out.
3. Stuff block to desired loft.
4. Hand stitch the hole closed.
