Ring Chain Table Runner

Fabric Requirements:

Notes:

• Finished Size: 18" x 47"
• All seam allowances are 1/4" unless noted.
• Fat 1/4 = approximately 18" x 21"
• WOF = width of fabric
• * = Adhere fusible adhesive to back of fabric before die-cutting the shapes.

Piecing the Project:

1. Using the Ring die, cut 35 Rings. Remove the paper from the backs of all 34 Rings to be used in the project (there will be one extra Ring). Save the inside Circles for another project.
2. Cut through 32 of the Rings as shown in Diagram 1.
3. On one of the long sides of the 18" x 48" piece of PWTH002. Taupe use an erasable marker to make a line 1" from the edge of the fabric. Place one of the uncut Rings 1" from the 18" side of the runner top and on the 1" marked line on the long edge of the fabric.
4. Interlock one of the cut Rings with the first Ring. Making sure the bottom of the second Ring is on the 1" marked line of the long edge of the fabric. Hide the cut underneath the first Ring.
5. Continue in this manner until there are 17 Rings on one side. Carefully press the Rings in place.
6. Mark, layout and fuse the remaining 17 Rings on the opposite long side of the table runner. Make sure you start at the same side.
7. The Rings will be more than 1" away from the end of the table runner. Trim the background fabric to the end. Rings are 1" away from the edge to match the starting end.

Finishing:

1. Layer the backing, batting, and quilt top. Quilt by hand or machine, as desired.
2. Sew the binding strips together to form one long strip. Fold the binding in half, lengthwise, with wrong sides together and press.
3. Sew the raw edges of the binding to the edges of the right side of the quilt. Turn the folded edge of the binding to the back side of the quilt and stitch in place by hand, mitering the corners.
