Fabric Requirements:

YardageFabricCutting Instructions
(6) 5" Squares Assorted red and green printsCut (6) Circles, various sizes
(4) 5" SquaresAssorted green printsCut (12) Small and Medium Stars* for tomato tops
1 package Fusible adhesive
1 package Polyester fiberfill
1Hot-glue gun

  • Finished Sizes: 1 1/2" x 1" - 2" x 1 1/2"
  • * = Adhere fabric wrong sides together with fusible adhesive before die-cutting the shapes.

Assembling the Project:

  1. Sew a running stitch 1/4" away from the outer edge of each Circle. Leaving your thread long, pull threads tight gathering outer edge of Circle to create tomato, leaving open to stuff.
  2. Stuff each tomato with polyester fiberfill to desired loft. When complete, pull threads completely together and secure with a knot.
  3. Hot-glue two Stars to each tomato top, offsetting placement so points of lower Star show.
  4. Hot-glue threaded buttons onto tomato Stars.
