Fabric Requirements:

Notes:

• Finished Size: 10" x 13"
• All seam allowances are 1/4" unless noted.
• WOF = width of fabric

Assembling the Project:

1. Sew the 1 1/2" Squares together, 5 across by 10 down.
2. Repeat step 1 with remaining Squares.
3. Sew each pieced Squares unit to the long sides of the 3 1/2" x 10 1/2" rectangle spine.
4. Sew a 1/2" Circle to each Square using diagonal stitching.
5. Turn under 1/4" and stitch long edge of the two 4 1/2" x 10 1/2" rectangles.
6. Layer materials in this order: lining (right side facing up), the two 4 1/2" x 10 1/2" rectangles right sides facing up and raw edges even with lining edge, Square unit right sides facing down. Sew all the way around leaving a 3" opening along spine. Turn and press.
7. Sew paper leather sheets rectangle to spine along edges.
