Bottles Quilt

Fabric Requirements:

Notes:

• Finished Size: 41" x 57"
• All seam allowances are 1/4" unless noted.
• WOF = width of fabric

Piecing the Quilt:

1. Arrange the Bottles in rows, 25 across by 10 down.
2. To sew the Bottles together, take two different color Bottles, with right sides together, and line up the curve of one piece with the curve of the other. Match the two outside edges, and pin. Match the center, and pin. You might want to place some extra pins along the rest of the curve to make it easier to ease the pieces together. Carefully sew the seam together, making sure the pieces remain aligned along the outside edge.
3. Continue sewing Bottles in the same manner, alternating colors, until you have 25 in a row. Press the seam toward the darker color. Repeat to form nine more rows.
4. Sew the 10 rows together to form the quilt center. Make sure the rows are in the correct order and are not turned upside down. It is easiest to do this by laying out all the rows on a design wall or the floor and then carefully picking up the rows and sewing them together. Press.

Finishing:

1. Layer the backing, batting and quilt top. Quilt by hand or machine as desired.
2. Square up the sides of quilt.
3. Sew the binding Strips together to form one long Strip. Fold wrong sides together lengthwise, and press.
4. With a 1/4" seam, sew the raw edges of the binding to the edges of the right side of the quilt. Turn the folded edge of the binding to the back side of the quilt, and stitch in place by hand, mitering the corners.
