Envelope Travel Journal

Overview
Take an ordinary envelope and make it extraordinary! This unique project turns your envelopes into a notebook with fun pages and pockets to record your journeys.

Other Supplies:
- Cardstock (Coral, Turquoise)
- Patterned Paper (Floral, Travel)
- Vellum (Green)
- Adhesive Foam Tape
- Gold Paint Pen
- Hole Punch
- Ink Pad (Blue)
- Ink Blending Tool or Foam Sponge
- Liquid Adhesive
- Needlework Needle
- Paper Clips (Arrow)
- Paper Trimmer
- Scissors
- Twine (Turquoise)
- Washi Tape
- Die-cut four times out of travel patterned paper the A7 liner from Envelope Liners, A2 & A7 set.
- Using an ink blending tool, add blue ink along the edges of the four liners.
- Adhere the liners to four A7 Kraft Envelopes with liquid adhesive. Edge the envelope flaps with a gold paint pen.
- Place the confetti corner die from the Envelope Liners, A2 & A7 set inside one of the A7 Kraft Envelopes, with the die blade facing the front of the envelope, and die-cut. Repeat the same steps in the opposite corner of the envelope. Repeat the same steps with the heart confetti die from the Envelope Liners, A2 & A7 set, but only die-cut the image once through the envelope.
- Cut out by hand a variety of journal cards from travel patterned paper. Edge the journal cards with a gold paint pen. Adhere two small journal cards with liquid adhesive to the front of one envelope. Adhere two large journal cards to the front of two envelopes with double-sided tape (only adhering three sides of the journal cards).
- Die-cut out of both turquoise cardstock and floral patterned paper an A7 liner from the Envelope Liners, A2 & A7 set. Edge both sides of the liners with a gold paint pen. Fold the liners along the crease lines. Adhere the turquoise and floral liners together with double-sided tape on the center front of the fourth envelope.
- Embellish the back side of the envelopes with a variety of washi tape.
- Punch a hole in the bottom corner of each envelope with a paper punch.
- Thread a needlework needle with an 18" length of twine. Place the needle into one of the holes in a decorated envelope and out through the other hole. Repeat the same steps with each of the three remaining envelopes. Set aside.
- Cut a 7 3/8" x 10 3/4" piece of floral patterned paper, and fold it in half. Notch both sides of the fold with a hole punch.
- Stack all the envelopes together, and wrap the twine around the center of the floral patterned paper. Tie and knot the twine together. Trim off the ends of the twine.
- Die-cut out of both green vellum and another floral patterned paper an A7 liner from the Envelope Liners, A2 & A7 set. Edge both sides of the liners with a gold paint pen. Fold the liners along the crease lines. Adhere the green vellum liner and patterned paper liner together with double-sided tape. Adhere the layered liners to the inside front panel of the floral patterned paper.
- Layer coral cardstock and a large journal card, and adhere them together with double-sided tape. Adhere the layered journal card to the outside front panel of the floral patterned paper. Embellish the floral patterned paper and envelopes with a variety of washi tape and paper clips as desired.
- Tie a length of twine around the floral patterned paper and the envelopes. Tie the twine into a bow.
