Hello friends! Today I'm working with the Tim Holtz Stacked dies I love the versatility of these dies. You can use them on cards, mixed media projects, assemblage pieces and more. The dies also fit the Vignette boxes from the Tim Holtz Idea-ology line. In fact, Tim has an awesome video where he shares some tips for using his stacked dies. Check it out here:
You can see in our project today I've stacked the dies to create a window with a border around the focal point of our piece. Are you ready to dive in?

Distress Ink (Gathered Twigs)

Instructions:
Step 1-
Die cut Rosette using the Rosette Thinlits Set.
Step 2-
Apply washi tape to the back of the Rosette strip to create strength.
Step 3-
Adhere the ends together with hot glue.
Step 4-
Squeeze the top together and then push down to create rosette. Adhere center with hot glue.

Step 5-
Cut cardstock to fit the front of the Vignette box, I used the largest box. Tape the Baroque Thinlits second largest die in the center and die cut.
Step 6-
Tape the two largest dies on Metallic Kraft-Stock to create a frame.
Step 7-
Lightly sand the frame.
Step 8-
Ink frame with Distress Ink on an Ink Blending Tool.
Step 9-
Adhere the gold frame over the front piece from step 5.
Step 10-
Ink the edges with Distress Ink on an Ink Blending Tool.
Step 11-
Cut a piece of cardstock to fit the inside of the box.
Step 12-
Cut cardstock to cover the outside of the Vignette box and adhere pieces with Collage Medium.
Step 13-
Color paper Doll with Distress Marker and blend out color with Blending Stick or cotton swab.
Step 14-
Adhere 2 game pieces or several layers of foam tape to the back of the Paper Doll. Tip: Personalize your project by using your own photo.
Step 15-
Apply a bead of Collage Medium to the box and adhere front window to box.
Step 16-
Use Design Tape to cover all the edges.
Step 17-
Adhere Sizzix Adhesive to the back of Kraft-Stock.
Step 18-
Die cut Funky Florals #2 from Kraft-Stock. Adhere Flowers and Leaves together.
Step 19-
Spray Funky Florals with Distress Mica Spray and let dry.
Step 20-
Adhere Paper Doll to the box centering her in the window. Add Funky Florals to the front of the box by peeling the adhesive and/or using foam tape as desired. Add a bow to the dress and flowers using thick thread or string.
Step 21-
Cut Rosette in half and adhere to the top of the box. Add some little floral over the Rosette. Adhere Adornment swag to center top of frame. Paint the Base with Gold Metallic Mixative using a brush. Apply a small amount of Blending Solution and gently wipe off raised areas on the base.
Step 22-
Adhere base with Collage Medium and let dry.
