Make This DIY Galentine’s Felt Corsage

Hello crafters! It’s Alexis from Sizzix. There is nothing better than celebrating our special friends and family on Galentine’s Day, and you can never go wrong with a little floral gift. Today, I will be showing you how to make a felt flower corsage using our Bigz Poppy die from Chapter 1. I also used the Poppy die to create flowers and a simple arrangement to dress up the table for our festive occasion.

How to make:

Die-cut four of the large Poppy petals out of purple felt, two of the small petals out of dark pink felt, two large flower centers out of light pink felt, one small flower center out of yellow felt and two leaves out of green felt.

Pinch the base of each petal together and adhere a small drop of hot glue to create a dimensional effect on each petal.

Layer and adhere the petals together with hot glue until the flower base is formed.

Adhere the two green leaves to the backside of the flower with hot glue.

Cut a piece of elastic band to fit around a wrist. Adhere one side of the hook-and-loop oval to the end of the band with hot glue, and adhere the opposing side of the oval to the other end.

Adhere the flower to the center of the elastic band with hot glue.

Fasten the hook-and-loop pieces together to finish the corsage.

A little floral swag is sure to make your friends and family feel special on such a sweet day. It can also make for a great utensil wrap! Wishing you all a happy and love-filled Valentine’s Day.
