Guest Blogger: Perfect Flower Hair Bows Every Time!

Hi everyone! Today I’m continuing the theme of hair bows. To see my original post, go here. As soon as I saw this 3-D Flowers die, I knew it would make the cutest hair bow! You can find here it's the Bigz™ Die - Flowers, 3-D.

To make this flower hair bow, you will need the following:

Sizzix Big Shot™ Machine

Sizzix Bigz™ Die - Flowers, 3-D (#656545)

Sizzix Accessory - Cutting Pads, Standard, 1 Pair (#655093)

Felt (color of choice)

Hair Clips

Liquid Adhesive

The first step is to make a Sizzix “Sandwich”: Cutting Pad, die, felt, Cutting Pad. (Hint: Don’t forget to replace your Cutting Pads every so often. You can find them here.) Then, run the Sizzix “Sandwich” through the machine. You will end up with two flowers that look like the picture below. This is just a picture of the big flower.

Starting on the outside, start rolling the flower as shown in the picture below. Add a dab of glue every so often as you progress around the flower. Adhere the last petal to the bottom of the flower.

I made two different hair bows with the flowers. I saved the ribbons from the bows I made last week. You can find here the Bigz Die - Bows. I glued two ribbons to the bottom of one large flower. I then glued the flower to a hair clip.

For the second hair bow, I glued a large and small flower to a hair bow. Aren’t these so cute?! The possibilities are endless!

I had my favorite little firecracker model one of the hair bows for me. Now I’m off to make more—in all the colors!

Tag me on Instagram @thesmittenchicken if you make these cute flower bows! I’d love to see them! Don’t forget to hashtag #sizzix and #sizzixhairbow so I can reshare!
