How to Make a Monthly Mood Tracker

I have always admired people who use their love of crafting and creativity to support and benefit their well-being. Now more than ever I think that our mental health is so incredibly important! As art therapy becomes more popular and on trend, I thought it would be great to focus on a way that we can combine the two and create a project that would benefit us creatively and mentally.

Journalling is a great way to creatively record your thoughts and feelings on a daily basis and a perfect way to do this for beginners to journalling is through the use of a monthly mood tracker.

To create this monthly mood Tracker, You will Need...

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Die cut the rectangle element from Cherry Blossom Cardstock and the two flourish elements from Primrose Cardstock.

Step 2: Adhere the die cut elements to the top of your journal page using Express Glue.

Step 3: Adhere an envelope to the opposite page using the Sizzix Permanent Adhesive Roller.

Step 4: Chose four different cardstock colors and die cut the flower below from each color. Place the flowers to one side and adhere the center circles from each die cut flower above the envelope. These colored circles will act as your mood tracker code.

Step 5: Use a permanent marker to label a 'mood' or 'feeling' next to each colored circle going from 'very good' to 'not so good' Also add your title to the inside of the rectangle on the opposite page at this time.

Step 6: Cut multiple squares from each of the four chosen cardstock colors and place them inside the envelope. These will be used to die cut the flowers throughout the month.

Step 7: On each day of the month you can then track your mood by picking the correct color for your correct mood that day. Die cut one of the three flower shapes using the cardstock and sculpt the flower slightly using the paper sculpting kit.

Step 8: You can then adhere the flower to the blank section of the journal page, underneath your title, ideally starting from the top so you have plenty of room to add flowers throughout the month.

Step 9: You can also use the Permanent Markers to add the date into the center of the flower and give it a stem.

As you keep tracking your mood daily and adding flowers to the page you will slowly create a colorful bouquet.
